We are seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Asset Manager to join a respected regional social housing provider on a temporary 3-month (plus potential extension) basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional to lead and develop the Investment Team, ensuring effective delivery of asset management, maintenance, and decarbonisation programmes across a diverse housing portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the performance management and development of the investment team to ensure objectives, KPIs and targets are achieved.

  • Monitor key performance indicators and tasks covering the investment team.

  • Leading on building surveying and tenant liaison services for planned maintenance and improvement programmes.

  • Driving the organisation’s social housing decarbonisation agenda, ensuring energy efficiency data is accurate and properties meet current legislation.

  • Managing investment and improvement projects for the housing stock and other HRA assets.

  • Overseeing procurement and contract management, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.

  • Ensuring leaseholder engagement and effective cost recovery for investment works.

  • Supporting the Business Manager in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and developing the HRA decarbonisation strategy.

  • Managing partnering relationships, ensuring delivery within budget and to agreed standards.

  • Overseeing aids and adaptations programmes for HRA homes.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Proven experience in asset management, social housing, or a related field.

  • Strong leadership and contract management skills.

  • A good understanding of procurement legislation, building compliance, and health and safety regulations.

  • Experience managing energy efficiency or decarbonisation projects within a housing context.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

  • A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) is desirable.

Contract Details

  • Location: Nottinghamshire (hybrid working may be considered)

  • Rate: Competitive (depending on experience)
