Interim Tenancy Sustainment Officer – 6 Month Contract
Location: Nottinghamshire (Officer & Patch based)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Rate: £25-£27 per hour (Via an Umbrella Company)
Contract: Temporary - 6 months
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Tenancy Sustainment Officer on an interim 6-month contract for our client based in Nottinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and community-focused team, helping vulnerable tenants maintain their tenancies and live independently.
The Role:
As the Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will provide a comprehensive tenancy support service, ensuring tenants receive the guidance and support they need to sustain their homes, prevent homelessness, and develop key life skills. You will work closely with tenants, partner agencies, and colleagues to deliver tailored support plans and act as an advocate when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out assessments of tenants’ support needs and create person-centred plans to achieve positive outcomes.
Build constructive relationships of trust with tenants, providing guidance on tenancy responsibilities and lifestyle changes to support sustainable tenancies.
Support tenants with accessing grants, completing forms, and liaising with statutory, voluntary, and commercial agencies.
Provide basic budgeting advice and refer tenants to specialist support where required.
Facilitate tenants’ engagement with the community, local resources, and learning opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of all actions, contact with tenants, and progress against plans.
Attend multi-agency meetings, tenant and resident meetings, and represent the service as required.
Support the development and improvement of the tenancy sustainment service through best practice and innovative ideas.
Experience:
Experience working in housing or a related field.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and relevant database systems.
Direct experience supporting vulnerable individuals in the community.
Experience attending multi-agency meetings or advocating on behalf of others.
Additional Information:
The role involves lone working and some evening meetings.
Full UK driving licence required and entitlement to essential car user allowance.
