Salary: £47,523 per annum
Location: Norfolk (Field-based with some office and home working)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor to join their Maintenance team. This is a crucial role focused on ensuring safe, healthy, and high-quality homes by identifying, managing, and resolving issues relating to damp, mould, and disrepair across their housing portfolio.
You’ll be responsible for surveying properties, coordinating remedial works, and managing relationships with contractors, residents, and legal specialists to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed surveys in domestic and communal areas to identify and diagnose causes of damp, mould, and disrepair.
Develop and oversee work programmes to address identified issues, managing both in-house and contracted works.
Collaborate with contractors to ensure works are delivered in line with contractual and quality standards.
Liaise directly with residents, keeping them informed of findings, next steps, and progress updates.
Monitor data trends to identify root causes and recommend long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across all cases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with policies.
Support the delivery of the organisation’s wider damp, mould, and disrepair strategy, ensuring alignment with statutory and regulatory standards.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives and training programmes to enhance organisational knowledge and performance.
Attend health and safety meetings and promote a proactive approach to compliance.
About You
You’ll be a technically skilled and customer-focused professional who’s passionate about improving housing conditions and resident wellbeing. You’ll combine strong surveying expertise with excellent communication, project management, and data analysis skills.
Essential experience and knowledge:
Strong background in surveying within social housing or a related sector.
Experience managing contractors and overseeing property remedial works.
In-depth understanding of damp, mould, and disrepair legislation, HHSRS, and best practice standards.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-centred approach.
Confident in analysing property data and producing accurate reports and KPIs.
Desirable qualifications:
HNC in Building Construction or equivalent.
Certificates in Damp & Mould Management, Disrepair Management, or HHSRS.
Additional requirements:
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
